We have owned our beautiful 3 acre property since 2019. Over the years we have fought drought, wind and rabbits to establish some trees, and last year we seemed to make a little progress on that front. Suddenly we felt like we had more options, and the dream of a flower farm was born.
It has been an intense journey inhaling every podcast, book, video and article about growing. We now have a little greenhouse where we propagate from seed and cuttings, and a tunnelhouse where we’ve grown zinnias and tomatoes. It’s definitely a year of learning and we’ve had no expectations of success. Some flowers have survived, which feels like the most joyful triumph, and we’ve sold them in our shop Wanda Harland.
